Port Authority® K500 Silk Touch™ Polo This is the men's workhorse pique shops keep on the rack because it washes like a uniform and still looks like a polo. 5 oz./yd2 65% polyester / 35% cotton. The polyester keeps wrinkles and shrinkage from wrecking a weekly laundry. The cotton keeps the face from feeling like gym mesh. Silk Touch is the name of that knit hand.
Flat knit collar and cuffs. Three-button placket. Metal buttons with plastic rims dyed to the shirt, so Navy and Black do not pick up a silver flash at the neck. Double-needle work at the armholes and bottom hem. Side vents so the shirt sits over a belt instead of pulling tight.
Where it gets used. Front desk and sales floors. Course staff and outing gifts. Hotel and restaurant teams. Clinic and office programs. School and nonprofit rosters that need one shirt across a long size run. The ladies companion is L500. Order both in the same color when the roster is mixed.
Embroidery and print. Left chest is the clean embroidery zone. Stay off the placket buttons and the vent. Front or back screen print and heat transfer work on this pique. It is not a polyester dye-sub jersey, so do not treat a full-front print like a 100% poly athletic shirt. Strike off first. Blank samples are allowed for evaluating fit, color, and fabric before a decorated order. Up to 2 of each style, color, and size. Different sizes of the same shirt are allowed.
Sizing from the mill chart. Standard sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL. Body chest: 32-34 in. at XS up to 61-63 in. at 6XL. Garment chest laid flat, one inch below the armhole: 19 1/2, 20 1/2, 21 1/2, 23 1/2, 25 1/2, 27 1/2, 28 1/2, 30, 31 1/2, 33 in. Back length: 28 in. at XS to 35 in. at 6XL. Sleeve from center back: 19 1/4 in. at XS to 24 1/2 in. at 6XL. 7XL-10XL is a separate extended style, not this cut. Between sizes, go up if the chest logo needs room. Larger sizes may add a size upcharge at checkout.
Colors and companions. Current spec is 34 colors. Navy, Black, and White do the everyday uniform work. Red, Royal, Burgundy, and Cool Grey follow. Charcoal Heather Grey is on the current sheet. A few older shades still appear after they leave the spec. Check stock before you lock thread color, especially in 5XL and 6XL. Ladies short sleeve: L500. Ladies long sleeve: L500LS. Men's long sleeve: K500LS. Youth: Y500. Tall men: TLK500. Men's pocket: K500P.
Care: Machine wash cold with like colors. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low. Cool iron if needed. Do not iron decoration.

Men's measurements. Body chest is around the fullest part of the chest. Garment chest is the shirt laid flat, one inch below the armhole. Body length is from the high point of the shoulder to the back hem. Sleeve is from center back, over the shoulder, to the cuff. Sizes 7XL-10XL are the extended style, not the standard K500 cut.
