Dickies began in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1922, when C.N. Williamson and E.E. “Colonel” Dickie turned a work-gear business into Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing and started making denim bib overalls for ranch hands and factory crews. The brand later supplied uniforms in World War II and introduced the famous 874 work pant in the 1960s—tough twill that jumped from job sites into skate and street style.
