Champion started in Rochester, New York, in 1919 as Knickerbocker Knitting Mills, founded by the Feinbloom family, and took the Champion name in the 1920s. Built for athletes first, the brand became famous for college and pro teamwear, PE uniforms, and the Reverse Weave sweatshirt—cut on the cross-grain to fight shrinkage and keep its shape wash after wash.

Today Champion covers t-shirts, hoodies, fleece, shorts, and athletic basics used for team uniforms, school spirit, streetwear, and custom merch you can screen print or embroider.
