Columbia 211390 Women's Hikebound™ II Long Rain Jacket

A cart-path shift in steady rain needs a jacket that is sealed, not just water-resistant, and long enough to cover the hips. The Hikebound II long jacket is a regular-fit rain shell with Omni-Tech waterproof, breathable, fully seam-sealed construction, a nylon taffeta lining, and a two-way front zipper under a flap.

The shell is 100% polyester. The lining is 100% nylon 210T taffeta, a light woven back that keeps the shell from sticking to a polo. Omni-Tech is waterproof and breathable, and the seams are fully sealed, so water is not coming through the stitch lines in a downpour. A front flap covers the two-way zipper. A drawcord cinches the waist and the cuffs adjust. A hidden chest pocket and zippered hand pockets hold a radio, a phone, or a key. Columbia branding sits on the left chest and Omni-Tech branding sits on the left sleeve hem, with a woven label.

Where it gets used

Course crews and tournament staff wear it when the forecast is rain, not a light mist. Outdoor check-in, range duty, and a walk between venues stay drier under a seam-sealed shell than under a water-resistant wind shirt. The long cut adds coverage past the hip, which matters on a cart in a crosswind. It is a rain jacket for people who work outside, not a down layer for dry cold.

Who it is for

Women's corporate, club, and event programs that need a branded waterproof jacket rather than a fleece or a puffer. Buyers who want a fully seam-sealed shell they can explain to a committee. Regular fit leaves room over a polo or a light layer. Sizes run XS-XXL. The piece was made in a facility that is OCS, GRS, and RCS certified.

Why they pick this cut

The long body is the point of the style. Mill body length runs 28 in on XS to 33 in on XXL, so the hem sits lower than a standard hip jacket. Regular fit is not a body-skimming active cut, which helps when the jacket goes over a uniform layer. The two-way zipper with a flap lets the hem open for a stride or a cart seat while the chest stays covered. Drawcord waist and adjustable cuffs close the gaps wind finds. Zippered hand pockets and a hidden chest pocket keep valuables off an open patch pocket.

How they use it

Pulled on at the first real rain and left on through the shift. The flap over the zipper sheds water that would otherwise sit in the teeth. Cuffs snug down over a glove or a bare wrist. The waist drawcord keeps the long hem from billowing on a cart path. Hand pockets stay zipped so a phone does not bounce out. It is built for wet weather, so programs pair it with a fleece or a down layer when the day is cold as well as wet.

Embroidery and print

Decoration is required. Left chest already carries Columbia branding, so a club or company mark usually lands on the right chest, the opposite sleeve, or the back yoke, clear of the Omni-Tech mark on the left sleeve hem. The front flap and the two-way zipper eat the center front, so a chest logo sits to the side of that placket. A sample sew-out shows how the needle and backing sit on the polyester shell and the sealed seam before a full run. Zippered hand pockets and the hidden chest pocket stay clear of the hoop. The woven label marks the neck, which is not an embroidery field.

Sizing

Women's sizes run XS-XXL. Regular fit is the cut to order against, not an active slim fit. Mill body length is 28 in on XS, 29 on S, 30 on M, 31 on L, 32 on XL, and 33 on XXL. Sleeve length from center back runs 30 1/2 in on XS to 34 1/2 in on XXL. Blank samples are the right check for hem and sleeve before a logo run, since a long rain shell sits differently than a hip-length jacket.
