Burk's Bay 5030 Ladies Wool Leather Varsity Jacket

Melton wool on the body and lambskin on the sleeves is the build. It is a varsity shape cut for women, not a shrunken men's letter jacket. The mill calls the look sporty and chic, and the snap placket over the zip is what sets the front apart from a plain flight jacket.

Slant pockets are trimmed in leather. The lining is 100% polyester with polyester fiberfill. Knit closes the cuffs, waistband, and collar, which holds the hem and sleeves in place once it is on.

Where it gets used

Women's teams, school programs, and alumni groups order it when the award has to read as a letter jacket. Corporate buyers use the same cut for sales awards and recognition when a polo is too light. It also works in a company store as a branded outer layer.

Who it is for

Women who want wool and leather sleeves in a varsity cut. Buyers covering a women's size run through 6XL, plus talls. Groups that already use the unisex wool-and-leather varsity and need a ladies companion with a snap placket.

Why they pick this cut

The wool body takes a chest logo, and the lambskin sleeves stay clear of the art. Slant pockets sit low, so they do not fight a letter or a company mark. The zip-and-snap placket gives a finished front without extra hardware across the chest.

How they use it

Wear it over a knit or a polo at an awards night, then keep it on outside. Fiberfill in the lining adds warmth for sideline and fall events. Slant pockets take keys and a phone. It is a shoulder-season jacket, not a deep-winter parka.

Embroidery and print

Melton wool is the usual place for a chest letter or a logo. Keep the art off the leather sleeve seam unless the program is built for sleeve decoration. Stitch density should stay reasonable so the wool does not pucker. Send a sample through decoration before a full run so placement clears the snap placket and the knit collar.

Sizing

Ladies sizes run XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, and 6XL, plus talls XLT, 2XLT, and 3XLT. Order a blank in the sizes you will decorate so sleeve and body length can be checked on the people who will wear it. Up to 2 of each style, color, and size are allowed as samples.
